A Calgary, Canada Subway restaurant is under fire for a promotion that a lot of sandwich lovers found tasteless. The Subway restaurant offers a free face mask when a customer buys any two Subway sandwiches. Yes, they actually did that. The owner of the sandwich shop has suffered an 80 percent drop in sales since the Coronavirus sent shockwaves throughout the globe. He’s been able to retain all of his employees so far. The Subway corporate office says the promotion stating a “free mask to protect you and your kids” wasn’t approved and asked the owner to remove the promotion. Social Media has much to say about the promotion with one Twitter user pointing out that you only get one mask with two sandwich purchases.
