Ray J is currently in the hospital due to a serious case of pneumonia and heart pains.
According to a report TMZ published on Wednesday night, January 7, a source close to the R&B artist said he was admitted to a medical center in Las Vegas over a severe case of pneumonia. In a photo the outlet posted, you can see Ray J lying down in a stretcher with his eyes closed. The source said the singer has undergone X-rays and an echocardiogram. There's no word on the results of those exams as of this report.
Ray J appears to be awake and aware of his condition. In a video TMZ shared, the RSVP artist speaks to a nurse as she conducts an exam of his heart. His recent hospitalization comes four years after he suffered from a severe case of non-COVID pneumonia. Ray J was placed on oxygen and had to use an inhaler. The case was so severe that he thought he was going to die, but he eventually recovered.
"I thought it was over," Ray J said at the time. "I started praying and knew God is good so I just kept praying."
Ray J has yet to speak publicly about his condition. His recent hospitalization comes a few weeks after he announced his plans to hitchhike aroudn the U.S. from Tampa, Fla. to Los Angeles. It's not clear if his stop in Las Vegas was part of his trek.
