Megan Thee Stallion's lawyers plan to ask a judge to force DJ Akademiks to reveal how he obtained evidence that was sealed during Tory Lanez's trial.

According to a report Billboard published on Monday, September 23, the Houston rapper's legal team is convinced that the "Say It" singer leaked a report regarding DNA evidence to the famed blogger and Milagro Gramz, born Milagro Elizabeth Cooper, during Lanez's shooting trial in 2022. Both media personalities told their Twitter (now X) followers that Tory Lanez's DNA was not found on the gun that was used to shoot Meg in 2020, but that wasn't exactly the case.

Meg's attorneys argue Allen and Cooper's posts misrepresented the outcome of the test. The results were inconclusive, which means the analysts could not determine whether or not Lanez's DNA was on the gun. The test results were under a court-ordered seal, yet both Allen and Cooper posted the information around the same time. This has led Meg's lawyers to believe that Lanez or one of his associates shared the information with one or both bloggers in an attempt to defame her.

“Circulating these erroneous posts was not merely premature publication: both Cooper and Allen disseminated false characterizations of evidence months before the trial even began,” Meg's legal team wrote in a court filing last week. “Ms. Pete seeks discovery to prove that Peterson or his surrogates leaked that information — and perhaps even suggested the language of the tweet — to Cooper and Allen.”

Cooper's post about the DNA evidence is one of several exhibits in Meg's lawsuit against her. The "Hot Girl Summer" rapper accused Cooper of purposely spreading false information about her throughout the course of the trial. She claimed Cooper was paid by Lanez's father to post lies about her and ruin her reputation. While gathering evidence, Meg's legal team was able to get DJ Akademiks to sit down for a deposition, but he declined to reveal who provided him with the DNA evidence.

“Identifying this source is essential to proving the coordination between Cooper and Peterson and exposing Cooper’s intent for perpetuating false and demeaning claims against Ms. Pete,” Meg's lawyers wrote.

Milagro Gramz has denied all the allegations. The case is set to go to trial in Miami in November.
