Jeezy Returns With Surprise Project 'Twenty/20 Pyrex Vision'

The Snowman's back!

On Thursday (March 26), Jeezy surprised his fans when he announced on Instagram that he was releasing new music at the stroke of midnight. "Available on all platforms ‌12 am midnight. #Twenty/20PyrexVision #KeepGoing," he captioned a video of himself in the studio, working on the project.

Twenty/20 Pyrex Vision features 7-tracks and is produced by the 42-year-old rapper's longtime collaborator Shawty Redd.

As fans know, the project comes just one week after the release of Jeezy's sit down interview with Charlamagne Tha God where he finally set the record straight on retirement rumors. "I never came out my mouth and said that I was going to retire, but I did say this is my last album on Def Jam," Jeezy told Charlamagne, referring to his 2019 album Thug Motivation 104: Trust the Process. "Like Kobe [Bryant], I stayed loyal. I was with Def Jam for damn near my whole career."

Twenty/20 Pyrex Vision marks Jeezy's first music release since he parted ways with Def Jam last year.

Jeezy went on to address another rumor, which is that he hasn't put other artists on musically. "I've tried to put people on [like] everybody that was a part of my first project, they on," Jeezy explained. "[DJ] Drama might beg to differ but that 'Gangsta Grillz' wasn't in the hood like that until Young was on that thing... He'd probably say something different but I know better because nobody else got their mixtape played in the club for five, six hours straight, word for word with the DJ drops. He knows that."

He rapper added, "People weren't a part of a project where they were getting platinum plaques that far out. Think about [Don] Cannon, that "Go Crazy" beat was a beat that he gave [T.I.] for a mixtape and when I heard it, I said, 'I want that beat.' ... Imagine me taking that beat, making "Go Crazy," and then putting [Jay-Z] on it. That's putting somebody on."
